As brands and online merchants prepare for what could likely become the largest ecommerce Holiday season ever, many carriers have set their cut-off dates for your holiday purchases to reach their destination on time. To help with your planning, Port Logistics Group brings you this guide based on conversations with our carrier partners. The caveat is that these are best estimates only. Given the increase in COVID-19 cases and other disruptions, these dates could change quickly and merchants should be prepared with contingency plans.
One thing is clear: It will be a busy shopping season though many experts say offline or in-store will likely decline over last year’s sales due to the pandemic. Meanwhile, online holiday sales are expected to grow. For example, the consulting firm Deloitte predicts ecommerce sales to grow between 25 percent to 35 percent from November 2020 through January 2021, reaching $182 billion to $196 billion.
The dates in the guide below differ by carrier and their level of service. Shipping cut-off dates also vary by merchant.
